Adams County Public Hospital
District #2 has four ambulances: two in Ritzville, one in Lind, and one in
Washtucna. They cover approximately 1500 square miles of eastern Adams
County.
There are approximately 20 EMTs to cover basic life support services 24
hours per day. They are all paid volunteers from the three
communities. Ambulance requests are received through 911 and
dispatched by the Sheriff's Office.
Interfacility transports are provided to other outlying hospitals either
by the ground ambulances or by air via MedStar as needed.
Anyone interested in becoming an EMT, please contact the
hospital at (509) 659-1200 and ask for Jim Bostic, EMT.
